Swimwear Care & Washing Instructions

To ensure your swimsuit can be used comfortably for a long time, post-use care is essential. Polyurethane yarn, widely used in swimwear, has excellent stretch but gradually deteriorates due to factors such as pool chlorine, heat, friction, and prolonged wetness.

Basics of caring for your swimwear

  1. After use, rinse thoroughly with tap water as soon as possible to prevent fabric damage, color fading, and loss of elasticity.
  2. If you are concerned about dirt, gently press and wash with a neutral detergent.
  3. Do not use washing machines, spin dryers, or dryers.
  4. Do not twist or wring; pinch with a dry towel to remove moisture.
  5. Shape it, avoid direct sunlight, and dry it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.
  6. Store completely dry and avoid high temperature and humidity.

*Care methods may vary depending on the product. Be sure to check the washing instructions on the product.

How to wash your swimwear

If dirt is a concern, use a neutral detergent and gently press and wash. Rubbing or scrubbing hard may put stress on the fabric, marks, or sewn areas. After using detergent, rinse thoroughly to ensure no detergent residue remains.

Avoid using bleach, bleach-containing detergents, and fabric softeners.

Can I use a washing machine or spin dryer?

Hand washing is recommended for swimwear. Water flow and rotation in washing machines, as well as drum-type washing machines, may damage fabrics, sewing parts, crimped areas, and print marks.

Do not use dryers, irons, or hair dryers.

How to dry your swimwear

Do not twist or tighten the swimsuit too hard. Hold the swimsuit between a dry towel and gently press it to absorb moisture. After that, shape it and dry it in a well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

For padded swimwear, shape the cup and hang it dry.

How to extend the lifespan of your swimwear

  • After use, rinse with tap water as soon as possible
  • Do not use washing machines, spin dryers, or dryers
  • Do not leave it wet for long periods
  • Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures
  • Avoid friction with rough surfaces such as pool sides, walls, rocks, and sand
  • Avoid wearing in hot environments such as saunas, jacuzzis, or hot springs
  • Be careful not to get shampoo, tanning oil, hair dye, or cosmetics on your swimwear
  • If there are multiple layers, alternate them while making sure they are thoroughly dried
  • Do not leave your swimwear in wet bags or bags for extended periods, or leave them in hot car interiors or trunks
  • Swimwear will become looser with repeated wear; refrain from letting anyone other than the owner wear it.

How to store your swimwear

  • Ensure it is completely dry before storing
  • Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity.
  • Do not overpack your clothes or clothing cases
  • Make sure pesticides like insect repellents do not come into direct contact with your swimsuit.
  • For padded swimwear, placing soft paper or fabric inside the cup area helps prevent losing its shape

*Please note that even if unused, polyurethane and rubber parts may deteriorate over time.

Main signs of deterioration

If you notice any of the following symptoms, your swimsuit may be deteriorated.

  • The fabric becomes thinner and more easily see-through
  • Appearance of white threads or powder-like substances on the fabric
  • The elastic part stretches or becomes hard
  • Stickiness
  • Fuzzy fabric
  • Marks and crimped areas peel off
  • Thread frays
